Position Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
Hours: 32 hours per week
Pay rate: $17.00 an hour

The Mukwonago Community Library seeks an energetic and community-minded person to provide outreach services and programs to all ages. Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Community Engagement Coordinator creates, implements, and coordinates outreach programming that brings the library into the community. This person seeks out and works in partnership with other employees, other departments, and the public in delivering effective and innovative services. Collaboration, communication, and organization skills are essential as this person is expected to coordinate large programs such as the Summer Library Program as well as work with department heads to engage with schools, homebound community members, and underserved populations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Two (2) or more years of college required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two (2) years or more years of experience working in public or school libraries or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of Dewey Decimal system and/or library experience preferred.
* Knowledge of standard office software (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, etc.)
* All applicants are subject to fingerprinting and a background check. Employment is contingent on passing those assessments.
* A valid Driver’s License is required.
About Mukwonago Community Library
The MCL (completely renovated and expanded in 2010) is a beautiful, state-of-the-art 28,000-square-foot facility, which stands as a testament to the support of citizens who value their community library. The MCL has evolved to include MetaSpace 511 (our maker space), The Thingery (our library of things), an updated Young Adult area, a Seed Library, a Book Bike, and many other renovations and innovations that have greatly improved accessibility and overall library experience for our patrons.
Serving over 23,000 area residents, the MCL is located in the Village of Mukwonago, a family-oriented community located 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee. The library is a member of the Bridges Library System which includes the 24 libraries located in Jefferson and Waukesha Counties. The MCL has an annual budget of over $1,000,000 and circulates over 300,000 items each year.
